End of January Update

Fort Morgan, AL

Well, it's gotten kinda cold a few nights, but we're doing well.  Donna still swimming and riding her bicycle with the Folks-on-Spokes, Gulf Shores.  I still take long walks.  We've gotten the hydraulic system fixed (new solenoid), but that's abut it.  Our random ground fault has taken a hiatus for the time being.  All else has to wait for a stop back in Lagrange, IN in late April.

We've managed to break Steve & Susan free for a late lunch one weekend.  Gary & Debbie are still here.  We've gotten a visit to the National Naval Aviation Museum, Joe Patti's for lunch, and Fort Morgan with them since I last posted.  If all goes well, we'll get to continue some sightseeing with them next season.

So that wraps up this month.  Thanks for dropping by and checking up on us!  We plan to resume our weekly updates the 1st of March.  At least that's the plan!  David

Mid January update.

Interesting how many comments we get that we're not updating the blog as often as we use to.  As we're kinda in a routine, there's not a lot to write about.  But since you all asked:

1) We're fine.  Donna swims and rides her bicycle with Folks-on-Spokes Gulf Shores. I tend to walk and wash the truck.

2) Gary & Debbie made it down safe and sound.  Hopefully, they'll have a good time the month+ that they're here in the state park.

3) We continue to have a random ground fault that shuts the trailer down from time-to-time (now between 9 PM and 2 AM for a couple of nights after stopping).  As we can't duplicate it, no one wants to help us troubleshoot it - especially in the middle of the night.  Guess we'll have to wait until it tries to burn the trailer down (like our previous open neutral fault) before someone with true electrical knowledge will help us trouble shoot it.

4) We may (or may not) get our hydraulic system issue fixed next Friday (19th).  We get a solenoid replaced.  Lippert and the RV tech says that's it.  I remain skeptical until I see it.  It's a system that has a lot of use & wear on it.  There could (and probably will) be more issues.  (Always is!)

5) We've found that there's still some unwanted flex in the fiberglass side wall of the trailer along the hitch area that opens when the trailer is on the truck.  This makes for a not-so-nice water leak when traveling in the rain.   We'll try to have Cross RV realign that area when we visit in April.

6) We've replaced our Rand McNalley RV GPS with a new Garmin RV 760 LMT.  Still need to figure out how to best attached it to the dash/windshield of the truck so Donna can not only see it, but also see around it.

7)  The truck's driver-side battery is leaking, so that'll get taken care of after we get the trailer back from the hydraulic fix.  Truck needs a front end alignment, too.

8) I have a Fitbit now.  (I know, I know...get excited...)

See, it's all absolutely boring.  Thanks for dropping by, though!  It's nice to know we're missed!  David
