Almost February

Picture is of the canal between Little Lake and Middle Lake looking east from the Center Park Trail.

Not a lot has changed from our last post.  Other than the excitement of the changing weather or that we relocated to a different campsite in the campground, it's pretty much routine.  February looks to be our last month in the park.  We expect to roll out on March 1st - our usual departure date.

We haven't gotten our COVID vaccine shots, yet.  Probably won't be able to get them until we reach Wyoming.  We're either "wrong age", "wrong group", "don't live here", or the ever popular "we just ran out" are our most common responses we receive when we try to get vaccinated.  Teton County (Wyoming) indicated they wouldn't have vaccines available for people under the age of 75 until May or June.  That works for us as we're currently scheduled to arrive at the fish hatchery the week of May 17th.

That's pretty much all the exciting news down here.  We'll post more frequently when we start moving.  Thanks for dropping by and checking up on us!  David

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everyone!  We're fine and still at Gulf State Park in Alabama.  The park continues to recover from Hurricane Sally.  Snowbirds have arrived and families are out for the holidays.  Gulf Shores and Orange Beach seem more crowded.  Fuel prices are increasing.  Things must be getting better.

We plan to depart the area on March 1st and scheduled to volunteer at the fish hatchery near Jackson, WY this summer.   We'll be doing a slightly different route from here to Virginia to visit docs and dentists in April.  We have a mid-April appointment in Indiana for trailer repair & service.  Do plan to get the Covid vaccine when it's available.  I'm not sure how that's going to occur as we'll be traveling from March through May and never at any one location long enough to probably obtain the booster shot from the same location.  Just not sure how they'll treat full-time RVers who are on the move.

That pretty much gets you up to date.  Have a great New Year!  David
