High Point, NC
After another too short of a visit with Doug and Louise, we've taken a couple of days to travel northeast to High Point, NC. We're here for the weekend to visit friends in the area. Looks like the weekend will get off to a wet start, but clear up for a nice Easter.
Otherwise, we're doing fine. Next stop is Fredericksburg, VA for a couple of weeks. At least that's the plan! Thanks for dropping in and checking up on us. Until next week, David

Stone Mtn, GA
We're in Stone Mountain, GA today after an great visit with Dad & Anna. They're looking great. Both look like they were feeling better. Visit just too short. Gratefully, we all missed the bad weather (baseball-sized hail, high winds & tornadoes) that attacked north-central Alabama on Monday, March 19th. Many areas took a beating that evening. We were just lucky!
Today we traveled eastward over to Stone Mountain, GA to visit Doug & Louise. Be here through Tuesday. The park's campground looks a little busy, but the section we're in isn't. Just not many units in our section. There's a 5th wheel next to us. It's a South Dakota family, too. Two adults; two dogs. I just found that interesting: a relatively empty section of a Georgia campground, two 5th wheels setting in two sites side-by-side, both of us running South Dakota plates. Guess they're retired & got family in the area, too. Maybe we'll meet them before we all leave.
That's it for this week. Thanks for dropping in and checking on us. Later, David

Ozark, AL
We're fine. We had a great visit in Mt Dora - just too short. Got in some good walks & ate some good food. And we met this guy during one of our walks through the woods near Lake Apopka.
We're in transit to Birmingham from Mt Dora, FL. We're headed up to visiting Dad & Anna before we head east to Stone Mtn, GA. So far, so good on the trip. We've gotten some good luck and seem to be traveling between the storms - at least for now.
Sorry that there's not a lot of news this week. We're just traveling. Thanks for dropping in and checking up on us. Enjoy March Madness! David

Lafayette Heritage Trails, Tallahassee, FL |
We got down to Mount Dora, Fl after our three night visit in Tallahassee. We were able to meet with Randy & Shirley, and they overfilled our brains with info on what we'll be doing this summer. Something to do with trout, but we'll talk about that in future blogs. It was good to see Randy and Shirley & hear about their adventures. They seem to be doing our bucket list. If we get lucky, we can keep following them!

Next day was Donna & Mary's turn to hit the stores without the guys. More serious shopping done there, too.
Disney Springs, Walt Disney World |
Anyway, we've had a good visit so far.

Next week puts us back on the road continuing our "Friends & Family Tour" through the southeastern USA. As always, that's the plan. Thanks for dropping by and checking up on us. Until next week, David
P.S. Pics of Disney Springs are of the new-to-us landscaping. Hope you enjoy them!

Tallahassee, FL
We're back on the road and in Tallahassee for the weekend. We're hoping to get a visit in with Randy & Shirley while we're here. They were volunteers at Voyageurs Natl Park when we were there in 2014. Always good to get a visit in with them.
We wrapped up our winter at Gulf State Park doing all those things we'd done for the previous two and a half months. Donna riding her bicycle and swimming while I walked. Nothing new there. Well, I guess Donna getting a steamer would count as something different - or at least new.
Anyway, we're back out on the road. The next couple of months will be our traditional friends & family tour before arriving at Lagrange, IN to have work done on the trailer. At least that's the plan for now. Thanks for dropping by and checking in on us. Until next week, David
