Tournament of Roses Legacy Float

How it looked on the parade route.

How it looked in the warehouse.
As many of you know, Donna & I got to the Rose Parade via an Excapees HOP (think of it as an RV tour) and satisfied one of our "bucket" items.  One of the things we wanted to do was work on a float.  We actually got to work on two floats; one of which was the Tornament of Roses Legacy float.  Here's some pictures to show you what we got to do.

From 9:00 AM Dec 26th through noon on Dec 31s, some 800 manhours of volunteers worked to ready the floats for the parade.  You signed up for 4 hour blocks to work on a float.  Schools, churches, families, groups of friends, etc, came to work on the floats.   It was work, and it was fun!  David
