Weekly Update
Our three-week stay here outside Fredericksburg is coming to an end. We finally got all the doc appointments done. I think Donna's visited everyone. Donna trying to get a few follow-ups with friends before we leave. And we're already scheduling visits for people to come see us at Gulf Shores.
Lost a pair of expensive glasses in the process. Probably get a new pair when we get to Gulf Shores. Foster Grants are good temporary replacements, but I do miss the progressive lens when working around the computer.
Speaking of computer, the thought passed through my mind that we were coming up on two years with my current laptop last week & that I probably should start planning for a replacement over the winter. Well the keyboard started acting up and the "numbers" pad locked on the digit "7" last night (that is, pressing any key on the "numbers" keypad gets you the number "7"). Guess I should start looking for a replacement laptop sooner rather than later.
The truck continues to have it's random, once per month electrical issue. This month it was the cruise control quit. While the cruise control quitting is annoying and inconvenient, it's also the first thing that goes when the high pressure fuel pump starts failing. So it's a little more exciting as that runs about $10,000 to fix and loss of the use of the truck from two to three weeks. Anyway, cruise control started working the next day. Hopefully, this is just an annoying electrical glitch or we may be late to Gulf Shores, again.
So that's our week. The KOA is beginning to fill for the weekend. We plan to go to High Point, NC Monday if all goes well. Everyone have a great weekend! David
