Shenandoah Nat'l Park

Luray, VA viewed from Stony Man Nature Trail

Dark Hollow Falls
We're wrapping up our one-week "vacation" here in Luray and our visit in Shenandoah Nat'l Park.  Despite the southern portion of Skyline Drive being closed (MM 80 and south) and only the Skyland Lodge being open, we found the park busy and parking lots at the more popular trail heads full to overflowing.  Bicyclists seemed to be everywhere.  And what the weather channel app promised as a rainy stay with chances of rain around 60+% each day until the day we were suppose to leave, turned into to nice, sunny days.  We've had a beautiful stay. The leaves on the trees at the lower elevations have popped out since our arrival last Wednesday.

Tomorrow starts our trip to the Elkhart, IN area and the beginning of the trailer's maintenance rodeo (Monday).  Planned stops are Bedford, PA; Streetsboro, OH; and Angola, IN.

That's it for this week.  Thanks for dropping by and checking in on us.  Until next week, David
